CCN Advocates' Conference

October 14, 2011

Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Bruce D. Greenstein invites you to the CCN Advocates' Conference from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2011 at the Holiday Inn at 9940 Airline Drive in Baton Rouge. The purpose of this conference is to share information and get feedback on the department's education and outreach plans to inform Medicaid and LaCHIP recipients about new choices available through the Coordinated Care Network (CCNs) program being launched by DHH in 2012.

Who should attend?

This conference is specifically designed for community-based organizations and other advocates who work with Medicaid and LaCHIP recipients, so their members can assist the department in the process of educating recipients about the changes coming from CCNs and help people better understand the enrollment process as recipients will be asked to choose a health plan.

Federal and state rules prohibit health care providers who contract with a CCN from providing any guidance or assistance to recipients when enrolling into a CCN. The department is offering other opportunities for health care providers to discuss contracting with CCNs and other CCN issues relative to providers.

Summit registration is free, and lunch will be provided. We suggest each organization send a limited number of members to ensure acceptance. That number will depend on each individual group's geographic reach.

Please register each individual who will be attending
from your organization separately

Seating is limited to 300 participants. Registration Does NoT guarantee acceptance. if registration exceeds 300, participants representing geographic service area A (the New Orleans and Northshore regioNs) will be given a preference, and a second conference will be scheduled. Every registrant will receive a confirmation notice upon hitting submit below. We will only contact you again if you are NOT accepted. if you do not hear from us after the confirmation e-mail, then your registration was accepted.
