BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals' Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) will hold a series of statewide and regional forums to educate Louisiana residents about the addictive disorders programs offered in their communities.
"These forums are a great opportunity for our staff to go out across the state to get an understanding of the needs and concerns of the citizens," said Pete Calamari, interim assistant secretary for the Office of Behavioral Health. "We want to understand their concerns and make them aware of the treatment and prevention programs and services available in their communities."
The public forums are held annually to give Louisiana residents the opportunity to interact with local addiction services providers and learn about the services that are available in the area. The first community forum will take place Wednesday, February 23, in Monroe and others will take place across the state through April.
