Eating right is a key part of living well. Make sure you eat at least five servings of fruit or vegetables every day. For other food groups, pick foods that are high in fiber and whole grains, low in fat and lean protein. You can still enjoy sweet, salty or fatty foods, but watch how much and how often you eat them. And, drink lots of water!

Visit the National Restaurant Association's Kids Live Well site, which features a list of participating restaurants offering healthy choices for children's menus so that parents can make wise choices when dining out as a family. Restaurants can sign up and participate in the initiative. The site also offers valuable information on healthy eating and dining.
The National Restaurant Association launched the Kids LiveWell program in collaboration with Healthy Dining to help parents and children select healthful menu options when dining out. Restaurants that participate in the voluntary program commit to offering healthful meal items for children, with a particular focus on increasing consumption of fruit and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains and low-fat dairy, and limiting unhealthy fats, sugars and sodium.
