Tickborne Diseases

The Louisiana Office of Public Health Epidemiology Section is currently partnering with LSU School of Veterinary Medicine on a tick surveillance project.  The intention of this project is to work with veterinarians and animal shelters to collect ticks from around the state.  The ticks will be speciated and tested for certain pathogens in order to better understand the risk of diseases in different regions of the state.

If you are interested in participating in the project, please complete the following quick survey, and an epidemiologist will be in contact with you soon: https://laredcap.oph.dhh.la.gov/surveys/?s=7TYETHYPAJ
