The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse has implemented Positive Action, a research-based program, to 8th and 10th graders at Landry, Kennedy, Dominican and Jesuit High Schools and 2 after school sites, Mirabeau and Payne Memorial, all located in Orleans Parish.  The Positive Action program is an integrated, comprehensive, and coherent program that has been shown to improve individual self-concept; academic achievement and learning skills; decision making, problem solving, and social/interpersonal skills; and physical and mental health.
