Federal Pharmacy Partnership for LTC Program - Louisiana
The Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care (LTC) Program will facilitate safe vaccination of residents and staff of LTC facilities, while reducing the burden on the facilities themselves and health departments. At no cost to facilities, the program provides end-to-end management of the COVID-19 vaccination process, including cold chain management, on-site vaccinations, and fulfillment of reporting requirements. LTC facility staff who have not received COVID-19 vaccine can also be vaccinated as part of the program.
CDC is partnering with CVS and Walgreens to offer on-site COVID-19 vaccination services for residents and staff of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. All licenced nursing homes, adult residential care facilities, and intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled, in the state of Louisiana, are taking part in the federal program. The partner pharmacies are scheduling vaccination clinics with sites now. Vaccination clinics are set to begin at nursing homes the week of December 28, 2020.
