Register for vaccination appointments and rides to vaccination sites:

  • Convention Center appointments and other LCMC Health vaccination sites by phone at 504-290-5200 or online at lcmchealth.org/vaccine.
  • New Orleans Health Department community vaccine sites by phone at 311 or 504-658-2299 or online at ready.nola.gov/getvaccine.
Lyft Statewide By Phone: Dial 211 to arrange for a free Lyft ride to and from your vaccination site in the following metro areas and parishes: Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Houma, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, Jefferson Parish, St. Bernard  Parish, Plaquemines Parish, and St. Tammany Parish.

Online: Request a free Lyft ride to vaccination appointments everywhere Lyft operates in the state of Louisiana by visiting lyft.com/vaccine-access and completing the online form.
Medicaid- Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Statewide

Medicaid participants can schedule a free ride to any vaccination site, including pharmacies, by calling their health plan at least 48 hours in advance. When calling, please indicate if the vaccination appointment is at a drive-through site.

Medicaid - Bus Passes Statewide

Medicaid participants who live in areas with public transit services can access free bus passes by calling their health plan. When requesting bus passes, participants must indicate how they would like to receive the pass:

  • Mail
  • Will call (pick up pass at bus station)

Medicaid – Gas Reimbursement for Friends and Family Statewide For Medicaid participants without access to transportation, your friends or family are eligible for gas reimbursement if they drive you to get vaccinated. To access this service, the person who will be providing transportation must enroll with the broker first. For more information, contact your health plan or Legacy Medicaid transportation provider.  In-Home Vaccination Program Statewide If you are unable to leave your home due to medical issues or disability, vaccine can be brought to you for in-home vaccination. To register for an in-home vaccination, call 855-453-0774.
