The Health Data Panel is a statutorily-created advisory committee that provides recommendations to the Department on the design and implementation of the Louisiana Consumer's Right to Know Act (SB 287/ACT 537).

The Division of Fiscal Management performs the payment management, cash management, financial reporting and accounting functions for the department.

Division of Health Economics provides decision support services to the Department's executive level managers. This support is in the form of reports, analyses, forecasting, briefing notes and research projects. The Division plays a key role in designing and completing materials for presentation to Legislative Committees and works with Medicaid during the budget cycle to present a complete package of information and analysis for a broad audience.

The Human Resources staff provides services to applicants, employees, and managers in the following areas: Time & Attendance, Employee Relations, Labor Law Compliance, Classification, Pay Administration, Performance Evaluation, Drug Testing, Training & Development, and Employee Administration.
