Welcome to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Medicaid’s Nursing Home Quality Improvement website. LDH is working in collaboration with the Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA), LeadingAge Gulf States and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport to improve the quality of care provided in nursing home facilities.
Our current focus is on improving the quality of care related to pressure ulcers through a series of educational webinars. These trainings are specifically targeted for nursing staff based on the functions they perform within your facility and their role in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. We have developed three separate educational tracks described below:
• Administrative: geared toward facility administrators and fiscal managers
• Advanced clinical: geared toward DON’s and trained wound care nurses/therapists/dieticians, etc
• Front Line clinical: geared toward floor nurses, certified nursing assistants, technicians, etc
Please have as many staff as possible participate in the webinars below. Registration is required but there is no charge. Staff may view the webinars as many times as they like.
