The Bureau of EMS is hitting the road! The last statewide activity hosted by the Bureau of EMS was the spring 2019 Instructor Update series that was abruptly cut short on March 13, 2019, due to COVID. Since that time, the bureau has remained active in providing services and striving to meet the needs of the EMS community in Louisiana. Now, as we begin 2022, the Bureau of EMS will once again hit the road. Starting at the end of January, the Bureau of EMS will begin hosting Town Hall Meetings around the state (and virtually).

Topics to be discussed at the Town Hall Meeting include:

  • Review of the Bureau of EMS
  • Policy/procedure updates
  • NREMT changes
  • Future of EMS
  • Open forum Q&A.

These Town Hall Meetings will be open to all licensees. All EMS administrators are encouraged to attend. To accommodate EMS personnel from around the state, the workshops have been scheduled statewide at strategic locations. These half-day workshops will begin on January 28 and run through April.

The Town Hall Meetings are open in the current BEMS-IMS; registration is required and is on a first-come-first-served basis. The maximum number of attendees cannot be exceeded due to space limitations. The Updates are scheduled to begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

On behalf of the Bureau of EMS, we thank you for your service to the citizens of Louisiana. If we can be of assistance in the future, please let us know.
