Chemical Terrorism Program
The Chemical Terrorism Program receives state and federal funding to provide Weapons of Mass Destruction training and equipment for SEET’s Chemical Augmentation Team. The Chemical Augmentation Team provides expertise to the Public Health Incident Response Teams, the Assistant Secretary of the Office of Public Health, and the State Health Officer in toxicology, epidemiology, human health risk assessment, exposure assessment, environmental health, mapping of public health data, information systems management, and public health surveillance. The Chemical Terrorism Program also tracks Poison Control Center data for terrorist activities.
Poison Control Center Notifications Sub-Program
SEET receives notifications of Poison Control Center cases that involve exposure to chemicals. SEET staff maintain a database with the details of each exposure. This is a sub-program of both the Chemical Terrorism Program and the Pesticide Surveillance Program.
