                    Infectious Diseases Workshops 2020Healthcare-associated infections and emerging antimicrobial-resistant threats pose serious threats to the health of Louisianans. The Infectious Disease Epidemiology Section of the Louisiana Office of Public Health held three, full-day workshops on this subject.This educational activity targeted infection preventionists, laboratorians, and other infectious disease personnel across the provider spectrum who have roles in infection surveillance and reporting.

NURSING:  This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by Louisiana State
Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s
Commission on Accreditation. Qualified learners attending the entire session earned 4.25 nursing contact hours.

 

LABORATORY: The Office of Public Health is in the process of renewing its providership for Laboratory continuing education contact hours.
