Office of Behavioral Health – Transformational Transfer Initiative Grant to Support Training & Certification Available to Providers

Grant to Support Training & Certification Initiative: Behavioral Health Services For Youth With Co-Occurring Behavioral Health/Developmental Disability Need

The Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) and Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) was awarded a SAMHSA grant aimed at transformative activities focusing on service to individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) co-occurring with serious emotional disturbance (SED). The goal of OBH and OCDD through this grant is to improve our state capacity to serve these youth by increasing access to quality behavioral health treatment adapted for effectiveness with this specific population.

To accomplish this goal, OBH and OCDD are offering an opportunity for select qualified provider organizations to engage in a program of training and mentoring leading to a State-endorsed certification in specialty services for co-occurring DD/SED youth and their families.
