Lafayette Region - LaCHIP Presents A Healthier America: One Community at a Time, Health & Resource Fair

In conjunction with National Public Health Week LaCHIP presents A Healthier America, One Community at a Time, Health & Resource Fair at The Mall of Acadiana on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Available screenings include: Pregnancy testing, Vision, Hearing, Blood Pressure, HIV testing, Blood Glucose, Body Composition, BMI and Hydration Levels.  Exhibitors will have information about: parenting and life skills classes, counseling, assistance to families with children who have special needs, free healthcare for low income elderly and disabled, free books for children under five, a loan program families for the purchase or repair of an automobile, job search assistance, child care referral Acadiana area resource referral, Medicare counseling, and much more.

Lafayette Region Medicaid representatives will be available to answer questions about all of our Medicaid programs, including LaCHIP, Medicare Savings Program, and the Medicaid Purchase Plan, as well as, take applications or renewals for anyone interested.
