Outstation Resource Library
Welcome to the Louisiana Medicaid Outstation Resource Library. Outstation was implemented in 2016 to give Louisiana Medicaid providers and entities the opportunity to host full time “out-stationed” Medicaid Eligibility Analyst(s) on site. Facilities can request to become an Outstation site using the Outstation Host Information feature.
How the Host Benefits
- Medicaid Eligibility Analyst(s) will give priority to making eligibility determinations on applications from host’s patients and getting the Medicaid decision input in the system.
- Trusted Users will have direct contact with their Medicaid Eligibility Analyst to answer and assist with Medicaid eligibility questions.
- Trusted Users will be able to request status of pending applications that were submitted by the host site.
What LDH agrees to do:
- Based on availability, provide an experienced eligibility analyst
- Provide onboarding, training, and supervision through the Medicaid Eligibility Regional Office
- Provide equipment (computer)
- Priority processing of applications
- Address concerns in a timely manner
What the Host agrees to do:
- Designate a primary point of contact to interact with Medicaid Regional Administrator
- Provide office space, office furniture, telephone line, and secure internet connection for a minimum of one (1) year with a thirty (30) day notice before ending the agreement.
- Facilitate close collaboration with any on-site Medicaid Application Center. These workers will not supplant those in the Medicaid Application Centers.
- Remit payment for invoices (maximum of $20K annually per hosted employee) to LDH
