Bureau of Regional & Clinical Operations

In nine regions of Louisiana, the Office of Public Health serves as a multi-faceted healthcare provider and provides public health leadership to local communities. The team in each region includes doctors, nurses, other clinicians, engineers, chemists, biologists, emergency response experts, sanitarians and other qualified professionals who help keep communities healthy and safe.

In each region, OPH operates health units that serve as the hub for each parish's public health needs. Services offered in parish health units range from immunizations to reproductive healthcare, to infectious disease prevention and response, to STI services and WIC (Woman, Infants, Children).
