STI/Hepatitis/HIV Program

The STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP) administers statewide evidence-based public health services and interventions intended to prevent the transmission of STIs, HIV, and viral Hepatitis, and to ensure timely access to quality medical/treatment and supportive social services for those diagnosed with an STI, HIV, or Hepatitis.

SHHP’s vision is for Louisiana to be a place where new HIV, STI, and hepatitis diagnoses are rare; all people have high-quality health care and treatment, are free from discrimination, and can achieve their full potential for health and well-being across their lifespans.

Mission Statement

SHHP’s mission is to end the impacts of HIV, STIs, and Hepatitis and related health inequities and stigma for all communities in Louisiana.

Case Reporting Requirements
