DONALDSONVILLE-Juneteenth Freedom Festival

A representative from the Ascension Parish Medicaid Office will be available at the Juneteenth Freedom Freedom Festival, 300 Railroad Avenue in Donaldsonville from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The representative will distribute information and answer questions concerning LaCHIP and other Medicaid programs. The festival will host agencies that will provide information, recruitment and health screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, colon, prostate and breast cancer, HIV, heart disease, stroke, mental health and childhood obesity.  Visitors will be offered free screenings and counseling between the hours of 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
