The Cullen Association Hope Center provides the Life Skills Training Program (a CSAP Model prevention program), homework assistance, standardized test remediation skills, and alternative activities for upper elementary and middle school youth (grades 4-8) to promote protective factors and reduce exposure to identified risks for ATOD abuse.  Strategies to address risk and protective factors for this target population are based on information from the Louisiana 1999 and 2001 Communities That Care Youth Survey and other relevant data.  Also, the Cullen Association Hope Center integrates performing arts as an additional method to promote positive self image, management and interpersonal skills, and prosocial community involvement by the target population.
