The Donaldsonville Community Health Coalition has implemented 2 research based programs, Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol throughout the Donaldsonville community and Second Step at Lowery Middle School.  Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol is a community-organizing program designed to reduce adolescent (13 to 20 years old) access to alcohol by changing community policies and practices. Second Step is a classroom based social skills program for preschool through junior high students designed to reduce impulsive, high-risk, and aggressive behaviors; and increase children's social−emotional competence and other protective factors.
