DHH To Continue Statewide Forums on Planned Medicaid Pharmacy Improvements Next Week

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is holding a series of regional forums to discuss the planned modernization of Louisiana's Medicaid pharmacy program. The forums began this week, and nearly 150 people attended the first four. The forums will continue next week, in New Orleans on Tuesday evening, Lake Charles Wednesday morning and Baton Rouge Wednesday evening.

At these forums, DHH Medicaid program leadership will give an overview of the planned transition of pharmacy into BAYOU HEALTH along with potential strategies to improve Medicaid Pharmacy Benefits Management and engage in an open dialogue with advocates and stakeholders to answer common questions and clear up any misunderstandings about what such an inclusion would mean.

These forums are public meetings, and no registration is required.
