Lauren Mendes joins LDH Public Information Staff

The Department of Health today announced that Lauren Mendes has joined the staff of the LDH Bureau of Media and Communications as a Public Information Officer. 

 Mendes, who is coming from a producer position at WAFB-TV, brings valuable experience in the communications field to the state agency. Her duties as public information officer will include fielding inquiries from the media and serving as a spokesperson for the department. 

 Mendes has a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University.  She is a native ofMandeville, Louisiana.
