Baton Rouge, La. (April 11, 2020) — The Louisiana Department of Health has updated its website to reflect the latest number of COVID-19 positives and will continue to update its website at noon each day.

As of noon on April 11, the Department reported 761 additional cases since yesterday, bringing the total to 20,014 positive cases.

51 deaths were reported today bringing the total 806.

Today, you will see a shift in testing by parish numbers for Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. This shift will not change the cumulative number of completed tests and will not change the number of positive cases. Positive cases are reported by parish of residence. Tests are reported by the parish where the test was administered. It was discovered that testing counts from a large testing center in Jefferson Parish, as well as the drive-through testing operations at the Alario Center also in Jefferson Parish, were being incorrectly attributed to Orleans Parish. This has been corrected.

We remain committed to providing the upmost degree of transparency, and ensuring LDH's national best-practice COVID-19 dashboard continues to display high-quality, real-time measures of the outbreak and response. http://ldh.la.gov/Coronavirus/
