Spring 2019 Instructor Update

Happy New Year! The Bureau of EMS is pleased to announce the schedule for Instructor Updates for spring 2019.

While 2018 was an exciting year in EMS, 2019 proves to be a progressive and transformative year, especially as it relates to EMS education and the quality of EMS instruction. Topics to be discussed at the spring updates include EMT Portfolio, Scenario Stations, State Policy Manual, the Future of EMS Education Programs, Scenario-Based Instruction, and IMS Updates.

In order to accommodate EMS instructors from across the state, trainings have been scheduled statewide at strategic locations on varying days. All current EMS instructors are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Instructor Updates. These all-day workshops will begin on January 17 and run through June. The dates and locations of the workshops are attached. The Instructor Updates are open in the current BEMS-IMS, formerly known as “the portal,” but registration is required and is on a first come first served basis. The maximum number of attendees cannot be exceeded. The Updates are scheduled to begin promptly at 8:00 AM and are scheduled to last until 4:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break during the workshop.
