Kids Vaccines

LDH and CDC recommend all children ages 5 and older be vaccinated for COVID-19. To find a vaccination location near you or get your questions answered, we encourage you to speak with your child’s pediatrician, call 211, or call the COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at 1-855-453-0774 to be connected with a medical professional.

Substance Use Disorders The Office of Behavioral Health is committed to addressing substance use disorders in our State. OBH offers prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services statewide for individuals with or at risk for substance use disorders including opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or stimulant use/misuse (SUM). OBH provides several resources for substance use disorders, including resources for patients, medical professionals and more.
Disaster Behavioral Health Response In response to tragic events that occur in our community, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) will coordinate efforts to address the trauma that LDH employees may experience as a result. As part of this effort, teams from the Office of Behavioral Health will be available to provide supportive services to LDH employees.
Suicide Prevention Training Louisiana healthcare professionals and the public have a variety of suicide training programs available which focus on assessment, intervention, treatment and management of suicide.
