DHH to Announce Entities Recommended for Coordinated Care Networks Today

BATON ROUGE - Today, Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11 a.m., DHH Secretary Bruce D. Greenstein will be joined by state Medicaid officials on a call to discuss the recommendations for entities to administer Coordinated Care Networks (CCNs) as part of the Making Medicaid Better initiative.

CCNs will be responsible for managing the care and improving health outcomes for nearly 900,000 Medicaid enrollees in Louisiana, with the first area of the state phasing in on Jan. 1, 2012. A competitive procurement process was used to select the CCNs, with a Request for Proposals issued April 11. Twelve entities submitted proposals by the June 30 deadline for consideration.

Working members of the media are invited to join the call, during which DHH officials will take reporters' questions.
