Baton Rouge – The Department of Health is advising all staff from the LDH Office of Public Health, Region 9 (Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes) that all employees should return to work.
Several employees of this region are unable to return to their regular work location following Hurricane Katrina; however, employees will be reassigned to other LDH/OPH areas as needed. Any LDH employee of this area who has not already been contacted by a supervisor for an assignment is asked to contact the Hammond Health Unit, 15481 W. Club Deluxe Road in Hammond, at (985) 543-4165. Employees can either call or stop by the health unit in person for their work assignments.
Also, the Livingston Parish Health Unit, 20140 Iowa St, has reopened. All employees of that health unit are asked to report for work at their regularly scheduled time.
