The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers to provide education and training to the personnel of non-compliant public water systems (PWSs) to ensure the PWS can effectively supply and maintain safe drinking water to the public. Contractor duties will include training water system owners and operators who are in non-compliance with the required regulations governing their water system and ensuring that the PWS is aware of the necessary equipment and treatment techniques to comply with safe drinking water regulations. The contractor will provide training and education as to the proper operation and maintenance of the public water system facilities and equipment.
A contract is necessary to provide the Safe Drinking Water Program Enforcement Section with the expertise to provide non-compliant water systems hands-on technical assistance resulting in water system compliance prior to legal enforcement action resulting in the reduction of water system notices of violation and administrative orders.
