The Louisiana Department of Health’s Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities will be holding a meeting this coming Monday in Lake Charles to provide updates on the Value-Based Payment model.
This meeting will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. October 14 at the Epps Memorial Library, 1304 N. Simmons St. All self-advocates, family members, support coordinator/provider agencies, human services district/authority staff and the general public served by the Metropolitan Human Services District and Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority are welcome to attend. For special accommodations, please contact Jacquelyne Cobb at (225) 342-0095 or Jacquelyne.Cobb@la.gov.
Assistant Secretary Julie Foster Hagan and staff will provide updates on the pilot project for Value-Based Payments for Home and Community Based Waiver providers. The Value-Based Payments approach allows providers to receive supplemental payments if they reach certain quality-of-care benchmarks. This project is supported through a grant from CMS’s Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program.
The meeting in Lake Charles is part of a larger series of meetings being held this month throughout the state by the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities.
