The Louisiana Department of Health and Verisys Corporation have amicably agreed to cancel a contract for a Medicaid Provider Management Solution.
The Verisys contract was awarded through a formal solicitation for proposals (SFP) to implement a provider management system that would bring the state into compliance with CMS regulations. The contract between the Department of Health and Verisys was executed on April 25, 2019.
“It is in the best interest for both the Department of Health and Verisys to end this contract. The two parties have worked together to resolve the terms and agreement to cancel the contract,” said Stephen Russo, interim secretary, Louisiana Department of Health.
Nothing will change for providers with regard to how they enroll currently. The Department of Health is working with CMS to achieve compliance with requirements for provider management, and the department will provide updates to the provider community as more information is available. The state also remains committed to building a more accurate registry of all providers who deliver services to Medicaid members in the State of Louisiana.
