Some Medicaid members may have gotten a letter from UnitedHealthcare Community Plan about their agreement with Louisiana Children’s Medical Center (LCMC) locations. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and LCMC came to an agreement. LCMC locations, like Children’s Hospital of New Orleans and University Medical Center, will stay in the health plan’s provider network. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan members should get a letter letting you know. We apologize for any confusion or concern these letters may have caused.
If you want to keep your new health plan, you do not need to do anything.
If you changed plans and you want to change back, you must contact the Healthy Louisiana Enrollment Center. If you changed from UnitedHealthcare Community Plan because of the letter saying your provider would not be a part of their network, but want to keep it as your health plan you must follow one of the steps below. You have until March 31, 2021 to change back to UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Otherwise, the change is effective on January 1, 2021
There are 3 ways you can change your health plan:
- Visit myplan.healthy.la.gov to choose a plan online.
- Use the free Healthy Louisiana Mobile App available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
