August 27, 2021 Community Opioid Symposium-A Virtual Series
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, - OBH is committed to educating medical professionals to improve practices, outcomes and increase knowledge and services in Louisiana related to substance misuse and addiction disorders. OBH, in partnership with Acadiana Area Human Services Authority and Woman’s Foundation, Inc. offers educational sessions for medical professionals, including: nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed mental health professionals, licensed clinicians, and providers statewide to increase awareness and education for prevention and treatment of opioid use, misuse, and abuse, specifically education on alternatives to pain medications.
*Attendees will also receive their appropriate continuing education credits (CME, Social Worker, LPC, and ADRA). certificate. Woman’s Foundation keeps records of all CME sessions and can provide additional certificates and/or transcripts upon request for licensure renewal with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME).
