Lake Charles --- The Cameron Parish Health Unit was severely damaged during Hurricane Rita and will be closed until further notice. Staff from the Cameron Parish Health Unit will be working out of the Calcasieu Parish Health Unit in Sulphur, 201 Edgar St., beginning Monday, October 24.
Cameron Parish clients who are seeking health unit services may do so in the Louisiana parish in which they are currently residing.
“We know the past few weeks have been a very difficult time for all residents, and we want those who depend on the health unit to know we have made arrangements to ensure continuity of their services so they will be disrupted as little as possible,” said Regional Medical Director Dr. B.J. Foch.
