Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Healthcare Financing (Medicaid), announced the 2024 Public University Partnership Program (PUPP) awards to researchers at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL), Southeastern Louisiana University (SELU), Louisiana State University-Shreveport (LSUS) and McNeese State University (MSU).

LDH was successful in completing 91.1% of its 45 goals and 92.5% of its 253 deliverables outlined in the FY 2023 LDH business plan titled "Invest: Teaming Up for a Stronger LDH and a Healthier Louisiana."

The town hall will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the West Monroe Community Center, 400 S. 5th St., West Monroe.

The Louisiana Department of Health's (LDH) Office of Women's Health and Community Health (OWHCH) is continuing its "Listen to H.E.R.: Hearing, Empowering, Responding" town hall series, with the next town hall taking place in Houma.

The town hall will be held on Tuesday, August 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pineville Main Street Community Center, 708 Main St.

It is critical that Louisiana residents be aware that fentanyl-laced pills are being marketed online and on social media.

This May, observed annually as Mental Health Awareness Month, the Louisiana Department of Health is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Lifeline is available 24/7 to anyone in mental health distress or who may be worried about a loved one who may need crisis support. 988 crisis counselors are trained to help reduce the intensity of a situation for the person seeking help and connect them to additional local resources, as needed, to support their wellbeing.

The press conference will be held on the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol on Wednesday, March 29 from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.

This town hall will be held on Monday, March 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Southeastern Louisiana University's Student Union Theater, 303 Union Ave.

This town hall willl be held on Tuesday, March 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 6201 Florida Blvd. Members of the public can register online for the event.
