COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters

Following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) emergency use authorization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expanding eligibility of the COVID-19 booster doses to children ages 5 and older. CDC now recommends children ages 5-11 should receive a booster shot five months after their initial Pfizer-BioNTech series.

Pediatric Vaccine Champion

Calling all Parents, Guardians, Caretakers, Educators, Pediatricians, Community Leaders, and Faith Leaders!

Join us in keeping Louisiana’s children safe from COVID-19!

Vaccines are now available for ages 5-17, and that is our biggest opportunity to stop the spread of COVID-19, stop Delta and Omicron variants in their tracks, and ensure safe, in-person learning for Louisiana’s children.

Kids Vaccines

LDH and CDC recommend all children ages 5 and older be vaccinated for COVID-19. To find a vaccination location near you or get your questions answered, we encourage you to speak with your child’s pediatrician, call 211, or call the COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at 1-855-453-0774 to be connected with a medical professional.
