 What is LA HAP?

The statewide LOUISIANA HEALTH ACCESS PROGRAM (LA (HAP) uses a funding source available through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide access to medications and health insurance for people living with HIV.  LA HAP is divided into 2 components:

  • The HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM (HIP) covers health insurance premiums, copays, coinsurance, & deductibles for insured individuals.  Dental and vision plans are also eligible for coverage.  You may find out more information about HIP here.
