Take Charge Plus
(Services, prescriptions, and equipment must be related to family planning.)
- Doctor visits (a limit of 7 visits per year)
- Prescriptions
- Birth Control (Including pills, patches, implants, injections, condoms, and IUDs)
- Contraceptive counseling
- Lab work
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Voluntary sterilization for both men and women
- Vaccines for both men and women for the prevention of HPV (the virus that causes cervical cancer in women)
- Transportation for family planning appointments
- Treatment of certain birth control related complications
Males and females with income equal to or below these income limits may qualify for coverage.
Yes, you can have other insurance and still qualify for Take Charge Plus.
Yes, if you qualify for coverage, you will get a Medicaid card.
