Survey Criteria for Nursing Home Emergency Preparedness Plans & EPP Summary Checklist
Please be advised that nursing homes are not required to submit full EPPs to LDH on an annual basis. Thus, the full EPPs provided above were received upon request to the local Offices of Emergency Preparedness (OEP). Nursing homes are only required to provide LDH with EPP summaries annually and whenever changes, modifications, or amendments are made to the EPP. Additionally, LDH does not approve EPP full plans or summaries. LDH reviews EPP summaries to confirm that all required elements are contained therein and also reviews the full EPP onsite during federal recertification surveys.
