The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) submits the response to ACT 455 of the 2018 of the Regular Legislative Session. ACT 455 required the Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD K) Task Force to study and make recommendations relative to matters including, but not limited to, developing the framework for assessing children who are deaf and hard of hearing and selecting language developmental milestones from existing standardized norms.
