August 03, 2005 Adolescent Health Initiative Celebrates 10 Years

- The Department of Health and Hospitals—Office of Public Health’s Adolescent Health Initiative will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with special events planned for the week of Aug. 7 – 13, 2005.

The Initiative, which is a part of OPH’s Family Planning Program, is a statewide program that was established to improve the health status of adolescents in Louisiana by creating a coordinated and comprehensive adolescent health planning and delivery care system.  The goal of the Initiative is for every adolescent in the state of Louisiana to have the opportunity to grow and prosper in a healthy, nurturing and safe environment.
