Baton Rouge, Louisiana, - WHAT: Louisiana is ranked first in opioid prescribing of all 50 states. The Louisiana Department of Health continues to work with partners throughout the state to address the opioid epidemic and develop potential solutions.
The Louisiana Department of Health is hosting the “The Opioid Crisis” Symposium where medical, judicial, and behavioral health experts will discuss the current status of prescription opioid use and abuse in Louisiana.
