Lake Charles – The Cameron Parish Health Unit will be offering the second round of immunizations for adult hepatitis A and hepatitis B. 

Individuals who received their first dose of hepatitis A or hepatitis B after Hurricane Katrina or Rita should now get the follow-up shots to complete their hepatitis series. 
 
Clinics will be offered on a walk-in basis on Friday, January 26th:

Johnson Bayou Recreation Center, 
135 Berwick Road
Johnson Bayou
9 a.m – 11 a.m.

Office of Emergency Preparedness, 
122 Recreation Center Lane
Cameron
12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
    
Hepatitis is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause liver cancer, cirrhosis of the liver and/or liver failure. The full series of vaccines are needed to provide protection if exposed to hepatitis B or hepatitis A.
