October 03, 2019 Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities' fall statewide road show focuses on Value-Based Payments project
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, - The Louisiana Department of Health’s Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities will update stakeholders on the pilot project for Value-Based Payments (VBP) for Home and Community Based Waiver providers during a statewide road show.
The VBP approach allows providers to receive supplement payments if they reach certain quality-of-care benchmarks. Louisiana was among 10 states chosen in 2018 as recipients of grants from the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program, presented by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The grant provides the Office with expert technical assistance in the development and implementation of a CMS-approved VBP model.
All self-advocates, family members, support coordinator/provider agencies, human services district/authority staff and the general public are welcome to attend. RSVP/registration is not required for attendance. For special accommodations, please contact Jacquelyne Cobb at (225) 342-0095 or Jacquelyne.Cobb@la.gov.
A meeting for those in the Capital Area Human Services District will be held later in Baton Rouge.
