December 08, 2006 Rat Poison Available to Cameron Parish Citizens

LAKE CHARLES, Dec 08, 2006 - The Department of Health Region 5 Office of Public Health has updated the listing of locations where citizens can pick up no-cost rat poison in Cameron Parish.  An overabundance of rats and human contact with rats can cause health problems, problems with contamination and damage to property.

The Cameron Parish Police Jury purchases the poison, which is then ordered and distributed to various pick up sites by Cameron Parish Health Unit staff.
