• At this time, state officials, working in conjunction with coroners from local parishes, have recovered 988 bodies. This is an increase from 976 recovered bodies on Oct. 5, 2005.

  • In most cases(62%), an age has not yet been determined, but the following ages are known: 0-5 – 1.2%, 16-20 – 0.13%, 21-30 – 0.54%, 31-40 – 1.34%, 41-50 – 4.69%, 51-60 – 6.16%, 61-75 – 9.91%, 75+ - 14.32%
