Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Interim Secretary Tony Keck issued the following statement on the death of long-time State Pharmacist Phil McCrory, who passed away at his home Wednesday night after a battle with cancer. McCrory was the first pharmacist to be hired by the Louisiana Office of Public Health (OPH) and served as the Director of OPH Pharmacy for 34 years until his retirement Aug. 13.

BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced Alan Levine will step down as Secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals, a role he has held since January 14, 2008. In his place, the Governor also announced the appointment of Bruce Greenstein.
