Throughout this week, mobile testing sites in southwest Louisiana have extended their hours and will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. from Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31.

The first 500 people who show up for testing Tuesday, July 14 at LSU's Alex Box Stadium's Geaux Get Tested site will receive a coupon for a McDonald's Value Meal. Valluzzo Companies, owner of more than 40 McDonald's locations in Baton Rouge, is offering the meal deal to help encourage people to get tested for COVID-19.

Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards announced a mandatory mask requirement for Louisiana and ordered bars in the state closed to on-premises consumption, as the state experiences increasing spread of COVID-19. The Governor also limited indoor social gatherings like wedding receptions, class reunions and parties to 50 total people. With these additional restrictions, Louisiana remains in Phase Two of the Roadmap for a Resilient Louisiana.
