  LDH reports 48,515 total COVID-19 cases after removing duplicates and out-of-state residents

  The Louisiana Department of Health reports 787 cases reported to the state since June 18, 2020, bringing total COVID-19 cases to 48,515. Today's total case count reflects an additional increase of 760 cases that would have been reported on June 18, 2020, and a decrease of 1,666 duplicate and out-of-state cases. LDH reported 7 new COVID-19 deaths on June 18 and today reports an additional 15 deaths, bringing the state's total to 2,972 COVID-19 deaths.

  These testing sites are in the region that includes Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon and Winn parishes.

  June 2020 Final Rules

  The Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing has submitted Final Rules to the Office of the State Register for publication in the June 20, 2020 edition of the Louisiana Register in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq.

  Programs and Services Amendments due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Statewide Public Health Emergency

  Continues the provisions of the Emergency Rule adopted on March 19, 2020 which amended the provisions of Title 50 of the Louisiana Administrative Code in order to adopt temporary measures to provide for the continuation of essential programs and services to ensure the health and welfare of the citizens of Louisiana.

  Emergency Telemedicine (LAC 50:I.505)

  Continues the provisions of the March 16, 2020 Emergency Rule which adopted provisions governing coverage of telemedicine during a declared disaster.

  Dental Benefits Prepaid Ambulatory Health Plan (LAC 50:I.Chapter 21)

  Amends the provisions governing the dental benefits prepaid ambulatory health plan in order to allow for more than one dental benefits plan manager to service Medicaid enrollees and to allow for the department to contract with a vendor for enrollment broker services for member enrollment into one of the available plans.

  EMERGENCY RULE: Covid-19 Disease Reporting Requirements

  Continues the provisions of the March 20, 2020, Emergency Rule to add coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to the list of reportable diseases and conditions set forth in §105 of Part II of the Sanitary Code (LAC Title 51). The following Emergency Rule, effective July 5, 2020, shall remain in effect for a maximum of 120 days, or until the final Rule is promulgated, whichever occurs first.
