In accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act (La. R.S. 40: 950 et seq.) as amended, the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health, is submitting the following emergency rule that amends LAC 49:501, 503, 509, 511, 515, 517, 519, 521, 523, 525, 527, 529 and LAC 51.VI.301.
BATON ROUGE (July 8, 2019): The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is urging the people of Louisiana to monitor the forecast over the next several days due to possible tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico. Today the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Louisiana’s Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) authorizing the state to negotiate supplemental rebate agreements from prescription drug manufacturers. The SPA permits the state to negotiate supplemental rebate agreements using a new “modified subscription” model that initially focuses on antiviral agents for hepatitis C and that promotes eliminating the hepatitis C virus statewide.
