The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is not moving forward with the final phase of a new Medicaid check write schedule, which would have pushed Medicaid claims payments toward an approximately 21-day cycle by the start of the new fiscal year. 1. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that provide administrative and direct care personnel to support continuous twenty-four (24) hour per day medical response operations as determined by the State Health Officer or designee for the duration of a declared disaster or emergency. 2. Multiple contracts may be necessary to provide administrative and medical services to augment staffing in support of the Department’s role in providing public health and medical care. Services will be needed to deliver medical and supportive care to individuals with physical and/or behavioral health needs during an emergency or disaster. Contractor(s) may provide these services based on the personnel they have available. Contracts will be activated based on the specific staffing needs (i.e. discipline needed), the scope of the emergency/disaster and highest proposal score. Specific expectations and requirements are outlined in the RFP.
